Quotes on Happiness and Life

Happiness is enjoying little things in life.” – I strongly believe in this statement, happiness is enjoying a cup of tea listening to chirping birds, squirrels flocking for food, or feeling the light cool breeze. Happiness is seeing a tiny rosebud in your garden. Watching over the stars on a moonless night, or listening to the waves kissing the shore. These tiny things bring joy, hope, and happiness for sure.

The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy. It’s all that matters.” – Audrey Hepburn. Isn’t that true, the most important thing in life is to be happy and enjoy every moment. Be is good or bad, we live each moment to learn a lesson. As they say, life must go on. I would like to add – Life must go on, with fun, enjoyment and experiences.

Happiness comes in waves, it will find you again.” a very meaningful quote, happiness comes in waves, don’t get disappointed once the wave retracts itself. It will come again with treasure from the deep blue sea.

Don’t let the silly little things steal your happiness.” Aren’t we all guilty of this? Let me tell you a small story when I shifted to Mumbai, everything was new from the city to pace, work culture to people. I resumed corporate job in a few months post marriage, but not the kind of job I deserved or wanted. After a few initial hitches, my night watchman shift became a habit. But at the cost of personal happiness and marital bliss. We realized there was an issue, but how to sort it out? He advised me to start looking out for another opportunity, as the job profile and I were misfits. However, I took his advice as an ulterior move to demean my ‘capabilities’. The things got quite ugly between us, and I started pondering if marrying him was a mistake. Slowly, better sense prevailed and I had to quit the job due to medical reasons. Ideal at home, I realized what a jerk I was. I let the silly ‘ego’, stole the real happiness and love for freggin’ five months.

What is true happiness

True happiness is Quotes –

Happiness is not something readymade, it comes from your actions.” – Buddha. Do I need to say more? Isn’t this obvious, we are responsible of our own happiness. The example of my life above fits this quote best.

Buddha says – “Happiness will never come to those who fail to appreciate what they already have“. Gratitude, a gesture of appreciation, thankfulness that makes us what we are – a superior species.

True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future.” – Lucius Annaeus Seneca. Live in the moment, enjoy what is here in front of you today. Do not let anxious mind steal away the happiness from you today.

One of the simplest ways to Be Happy is, letting go of the things that make you sad.Let go! We have already read the post on letting go of the past and fears of losing. Enjoy what’s in there with you.

I would like to end this post with one of my personal favorites, I am sure you will love it too.

A Smile is the Best make-up a girl could wear.

– Marilyn Monroe.

This quote has nothing to do with the beautification or about make-up, it simply says – if you are happy from within and smile, you look your best.
