Fashion is all about what you are! And I truly relate to this statement. Style quotient comes from within when you are comfortable in your skin. Mixed or tweaked a little the same style can become a Statement. Fashion statement which is doing rounds across all sphere and a major head turner today – Fusion Wear. Indie Chic – Mix Ethnic and a little dash of Western with some oomph and bold attitude. As I always say – Style has lot to do from inside than outer self.

I have recently been to a wedding, and was amazed to see how Fusion Wear has made space in Special Occasions – weddings, festivals etc. Ethnic wear like Sarees, Salwar Kameez, Lehengas, were interestingly taken over by Indie Chic look.

Asymmetrical Hemline Fashion Trend

The first in my list are – Asymmetrical Hem Dresses, very chic and fashionable. Asymmetrical dresses are available in Tunics, Kurta/ Kurti, One-piece dresses, etc. You can pair these depending on the need or occasion. Goes well with stilettos for cocktail party style look or with gold bold flats for casual look.

Ethnic Long Skirts with Crop Tops / Blouses

Floor length ethnic skirts take my heart away, every time I look at them. Have always loved skirts as they accentuate your height well. Available in a huge variety of Ethnic prints, gold zari borders, gota work, block prints, plaits, etc. These skirts are just too good to resist. Pair them with some contrast crop tops or kalamkari long sleeve blouses. Trust me it will be a 100% guaranteed praise worthy. Accessorize with a chic jacket or thin stole for a casual day look.

Pants to make a Difference

Palazzo or straight pants are today’s wardrobe essential. goes well with every look, classic ethnic or chic western. I find them blessing in disguise at times – either pair with western tops or ethnic kurta. Looks as good with an Anarkali kurta as with crop top. All you need is – match up to the style. These are my personal favorite (apologies if I am saying this quite often) ;D

Pep Up a level with Shrugs

These days shrugs have become as important as the main dress itself. The style quotient goes up a notch just by pairing it right. Available in vast variety across fashion stores or via online, this is a must for a fashion statement. Long or short, ethnic or chic, transparent or solid each style of shrug looks amazing.

That Quintessential Saree

Saree the pride and generic brand to Indian culture has also taken a shift to Indie Chic fusion. With a little twist in 9 yards and recasting blouses – saree has represented itself in the most innovative way. I am sure this is going to stay for long, and turn heads for its quintessential feminine appeal.

Fashion is all about YOU
