The Yin and Yang of Happiness

Yin and Yang of happiness

Life is nothing but a house of cards in a nutshell. The more you try to fit in, the heavier it gets. As everything has its two sides, so does life – Yin and Yang of happiness.

Yin and Yang are the ancient Chinese philosophy of balance in the nature. Like for every darkness there is a light, and the vice versa. Our happiness is also based on the balancing act of life. Have you ever wondered why we do not get the feeling of contentment even after achieving something we were focussed on from long? Why at times, life seems lonely despite of all the cacophony happening around us?

The answer lies in balancing work of life, the demand, and supply. So, does that mean we will never get happy in life? No, that’s not what Yin-Yang mean. It simply means, keeping the life expectations realistically possible.

Life is what you want it to be!

If you want it to be a trophy life, the urge of accomplishing one goal after other keeps it trailing over the edge. However, if you want it to be simple and easy, it won’t disappoint you either. The point is be realistic and accept it with open arms. Its flaws and excellence both.

Once, we learn the art of balancing the life, happiness flows in.

  1. For happiness, it’s important to balance life. I agree life is what you want it to be. It’s all about our choices. You can always choose hope over difficulties.
    A very nice post ?

  2. Your rightly said life is what you want to be. The courageous ones take the road less traveled but they are always content and ultimately find success. Good one Dipika.

  3. Being realistic lessens a lot of drama. No doubt, a balance of everything in life is important…some learning come only with time. Don’t you think the things that would upset us 10 years ago, look so foolish now. We learn to understand, to react, to balance slowly…
