Our Values Makes us Happy. Happiness is an emotion, a state of mind and it changes sides very frequently. This series is dedicated to ‘My Happiness Mantra’, the things which are close to my heart and are a constant reminder of how beautiful this life is.
Values – a small word, used and misused rampantly based on suitability and personal goals. As per humble Wikipedia, “In ethics, value denotes the degree of importance of some thing or action. With the aim of determining what actions are best to do or what way is best to live, or to describe the significance of different actions.“
This definition in itself shares a glimpse of entire confusion, ‘determining what actions are best to do or what is best to live’. So, this makes values individualistic, isn’t it? Then why so much ado about he/she not following traditions or values? It’s the simple case of your values and my values are different.
Values for the Soul
The point is if you value your opinion, you must also value the beliefs of others. Once, we understand and start respecting each other’s personal space and value it half the worries of this planet might just evaporate.
“Values are like fingerprints. Nobody’s are the same, but you leave them all over everything you do.”
– Elvis Presley
To be happy from within, you must have close relationship with your inner values. They are like a tattoo on the soul, inscribed deeply in you. When you are on same page with your values, making decisions for happy living isn’t tough at all.

If we respect and understand everyone around us then a lot of problems would get resolved. Happiness is surely a state of mind we create for yourself. Can so relate to this post Dee.
Yes, we must have close relationships with inner values because they help us to grow and develop.
