MamaEarth Care for Moms
mamaearth products are everywhere buzzing around on the social media, chat groups, Facebook nooks almost everyone is talking or writing about these amazing products. This really got me curious to know what is it all about. I got in touch with few fellow bloggers (read friends) who connected me to Ghazal (the mum behind MamaEarth) and viola I got my free samples in just 3 days, yes just 3 days – this I call professionalism, so the first impression is 5/5, and here I am with my Mamaearth – Product Review.
Mamaearth is Asia’s 1st Made Safe certified brand So what has it got to do with me? (people generally ask) Well, let me explain in detail here – MADE SAFE is America’s first non-toxic seal for products that we use in our daily routine, from baby to personal care to household and beyond. They certify that products we use on our body, with our family, and in our homes are made with safe ingredients not known or suspected to harm human health. Hence, MamaEarth is certified for being safest.
This also means that these products are free from toxins and chemicals, each product is –
- Strictly toxin free (no parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, sulfates etc.)
- Dermatologically tested
- Aimed to develop the best formulations by using best of earth ingredients.
This is a brand started by a lovely couple Ghazal & Varun when they were expecting their first child. After realizing that none of the products available in market is 100% MadeSafe, they took it on them to bring the best of safety in India. And what good, thanks to them we all are reaping benefits of their hard efforts. In their own words – Quote “A brand, by a parent, for the parent. A brand which develops products from world class research and attempts to solve every little problem that we as parents face. With the aim of making products which are mum-baby friendly, toxin-free, meet stringent international standards & are basically ultra awesome, MamaEarth was born.” Unquote

Before beginning my review about the products, let’s talk about the packaging. The bottles are attractive – simple, aesthetically designed and easy to hold. The colour is kept sobre; white, yes the calming effect. What I love the most is dual caps on them. The bigger cap outside and second transparent one on the nozzle – which makes is spill proof and easy to carry with you while travels.
I received the hamper with 3 beautiful products –
Mamaearth Calming Body Wash with Aloe, Allantoin & Vitamin E
A completely harmless, chemical free body wash for you and that lovely baby tummy of yours. The product is gentle on your skin, it cleanses and well as nourishes with the goodness of nature – Allantoin, Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Geranium Essential Oil. A humble dose of fragrance with lovely smooth after effect on skin.
Mamaearth Nourishing Body Lotion with Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter & Jojoba Oil
It seeps deep in skin and leaves a lovely fragrant trail of nourishment behind. Oh yes, the dryness and irritation are far behind with this goodness of Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Geranium Essential Oil.
Mamaearth Argan Hair Mask to reduce hair fall and strengthen hair
Hair loss – well don’t even talk about it! Post giving birth hair takes the toll, I suffered from severe hair loss and damaged hair post-partum. Wish I had this wonderful product back then, nevertheless I could use it today to make my hair happy with the goodness of Milk protein, Curd Extract, Argan Oil, Avocado Oil, Collagen & tea tree oil. This Argan Hair Mask is must haves for all the mothers out there – application is very easy just apply a generous amount to towel-dried clean shampooed damp hair. Use your hands and fingers to evenly distribute through hair, beginning at scalp to hair ends and leave for 5 to 15 minutes and then rinse. Advised to use 1 to 2 times weekly.
I had a #gleeful time using, trying all these wonderful products and pampering myself. You can get them delivered at home from Amazon. Also checkout the product review of The Moms Co. by your author.

Can vouch for Argan hair mask, have not used any other product’s so far. Loving the mama earth argan hair mask, No Sulphates, no paraben, no mineral oil, made safe certified…sounds like my kind of products. Using mama earth argan hair mask can feel the difference after few applications. Of course, the avocado oil, milk protein, curd and the goodness of argan oil are all good stuff for the hair. Waiting to see the results on the hair fall now. Just that the packaging should have a little spatula to take out the mask. It’s easy to use and effective:)
Sadly my experience with mama earth product has been very bad. Ordered a Multani mitti face pack, and got a product which looks congealed and smelled rotten. Expiry date said 2026. Contacted the company asking for a replacement. They asked for pics, which I provided and after than I haven’t heard back from them. Sent numerous follow up mails, but absolutely no response. Wasted my money. Feel cheated..
I am sorry, you had to go through this bad episode. I have actully used quite a few products of this brand, and somehow like them all. However, this review is way too old and now they have launched many new products. But, agree even a single bad experience can ruin the entire reputation.
Hi.. Sorry not an old review. It was this month itself. After numerous follow up’s with Mama Earth, they finally responded saying they will replace the product. I got a replacement product and that too was expired. I again informed them (sent pics) and this time they asked me to send it back immediately (same day), not a single word of apology. And refunded me 150 Rs. for a 450 Rs. product. I am now so tired of following up, that I decided to just bear the loss. Never again will I use Mama Earth products or promote them. To me it seems like a bad product of a badly run company.
I am really sorry for yur bad experience, Deepti. Can understand the pain it takes to waste money and also bear the ordeal. I will try and reach the team to share your expereience from my end. Hope to see you back here, soon.
