Lawn Affair – The moment I hear or read this word Lawn, first this comes to mind is a pastel-colored heavy embroidery salwar kameez? WHAT DID YOU THINK?  😉 I am a die-hard fan of Indian ethnic dresses, especially the Lawn Salwar Suits.  Haven’t you heard the famous song, from Guru Randhava – ‘Tennu Suit, Suit Karda‘. Nothing beats a proper Punjabi salwar kameez suit.

Pakistani heritage has predominantly made its way to the Indian Fashion industry in a myriad of ways. From Palazzo pants to straight cut pants, short frock suit and Kameez suits – we’ve started taking cues from Pakistani style of dressing. As we are probably expecting summer from the next month, you’re slated to find lawn salwar kameez in any fashionistas wardrobe.

Hope you own one too! Also, the comparison of the fabric is somewhat equivalent to the importance of silk fabric in India. The sheer soft texture of the fabric and patterns or motifs has made the fabric popular. Lawn suits are sometimes mixed and matched with westerns and donned in different styles.

Let me take you through the different styles of wearing a lawn salwar kameez.

Flowy Patiala

suits

Flared flowery Patiala salwars over lawn suits look desi! Pump up this desi look with braided hair and smokey eyes. A dab of lipstick and a good moisturizer to keep skin problems at bay should also be a part of your grooming regime.

Loose Palazzo

suit

Try Palazzos, if you’re looking at any other way of styling lawn suits. The length of lawn suits are up to the calves and its sleeves being mostly full-sleeved. Palazzo type of salwars always works the best. Chic churidars give focus to your ankle or loose chikankari palazzos look the best. Making you appear tall and sleek. If you have got a lawn suit pattern kameez suit – try experimenting different boho looks. You can pull up all these swag styles with ease.

What I really Love about the Lawn Suits is their subtle colors and flow. You can wear the salwar kameez in any style – pair it with Pallazo pants, it will give a chic look. Consider ankle length kurta with cudidar salwar, it looks sleek & classy. A patiala can add the Indian touch to it. I am looking forward to adding some lawn suits in my wardrobe, are you?

Good if you own one, else choose well-fitted designer lawn suits online and accessorize your overall look in the best possible way.

Oh I remember Lawn suits all right! What a rage they were! Good to see they have innovated and are back in fashion!

Palazzos are my favorite. One of the main adavantages of palazzos is they are comfortable.

We often sacrifice our style due to comfort but in case of palazzos, we don’t need to compromise style.

Lawn suits are so amazing! I love to wear them in summers and the pastels are the best. I prefer straight pants, so a fusion of palazzo and churidar 😄

Love the pastel shades of lawn suits in summers. Loose pallazo with a fitted kurta works well for me. Thinking to buy few designer lawn suits online for upcoming marriage functions.
