Educational Toys enhance learning and problem-solving ability in Kids

If you are following my blog & social media channels – you must be aware that I am pro advocate of engaging kids in real time games and not gadgets. The gadgets that look swanky and interesting, are addictive and influence a child’s behavior & development. Have you seen kids throwing tantrums when losing a virtual racing battle or out of moves? These are early signs of behavioral changes, which if ignored can lead to bigger problems. Hence, pick up some real learning toys and let Kids be their age.

Educational Toys –

Being mothers, our first concern is the well-being and upbringing of our kids. This includes – Health, Social Behaviour, Learning, Education, and Growth. Well, all these things are inter-related and as I mentioned above, learning/education toys are best for children in growing age. When they are still developing or gaining knowledge. Learning numbers, colors, shapes, sizes, and many handheld skill. These toys help children in assessing a problem while playing. Young children learn using their hands – if you are a pre-primary kid’s mother, you can connect with gross motor & fine motor skills well.

Educational toys bring together two or more senses while playing. With such toys, the child develops the hand and eye coordination implements problem-solving skills and discovers newer techniques. With the kind of competition, Educational World has today, it is upright to have a positive attitude towards – Problems. During one such exploration, I have come across SKOLA Toys. They have extensively researched this area and have brought some remarkable toys for kids in growing age. Their philosophy is to make childhood – “FUN” by ‘Creating Learning’.

Subtraction Dump Truck – Educational Toy

The Subtraction Dump Truck is a beautiful toy, aimed to help kids with easier deductions using colorful beads. My daughter is 5+ and learning basic mathematics in school, with this toy it has become too easy. Engaging and Educational toy – what else could a Mom ask for ?

Packaging – This toy, in particular, comes in with a nice cardboard packaging, sturdy and beautiful. With Skola brand’s logo in the center, I love the colors of the outer box – White with some Doodles. Easy to store due to its sleek design. The inside cavity of the box has an extra set of Wax Crayons to write your numbers while deducting.

Material – Skola is an environmentally friendly brand and make wooden toys. Again, this toy is wooden and made safe keeping in mind easy handling by children. No sharp edges and evenly polished surface.

Toy – The toy comes in a shape of a dump truck, a base with two sleek containers. Both are clearly marked with numbers from 1 – 10. Count the number and dump using simple cues.

Activity – Filling the dump truck with balls and then emptying using the arithmetic. Tell the child to count the number of balls to remove, empty only those balls using a gate stopper (provided with the toy). This is a fun game and kids enjoy doing simple subtraction through this.

Relating to numbers in the process of simple addition and subtraction. Children develop the number awareness and start doing mental maths taking cues from the reduced balls. With marked numbers and aesthetically designed toy, visual learning becomes easy.

Children learn fast and better through visual and touch senses.
