Have faith, things will work out well – just don’t loose hope and trust: For Suns and Lovers #barathon

suns lovers barathon

This is my entry for the sixth day of #BarAthon 2017, the fortnight-long blogging marathon for bloggers, organised by Blog-A-Rhythm! Today’s prompt is ‘Suns and Lovers’, featured in my fictional story.

Myra: If I had any idea you are such a stupid man I would have never married you!

Anuj: (sigh) there is still time, you can leave me and start a fresh.

Myra: See, look at that!!!! you are least bothered if I stay or leave (fuming)

Anuj: It matters, that’s the reason I have been putting up with you after all these childish tantrums.

Myra: Childish…. Putting up… Anuj I will kill you.. you are a gaonwaala (villager).. idiot (throwing her purse aiming his head)

Anuj: (ducks to save the torpedo) Yes, and in next life I will love you again, marry you, fight with you, tease you. You will be my Sun and Lover, and I will again and again fall for you (moving towards Myra) he picks her up and then fuming Myra is now blushing over his shoulder….

For Suns and Lovers

Myra and Anuj met on a roller coaster ride, quite literally; during their separate independent trips to The USA for professional reasons. On a trip to an amusement park these perfect strangers not only became partners for this roller coaster ‘jumbo slider‘ but also for life (after many many days)

Myra is an independent working professional born and brought up in Mumbai with the best education and lifestyle one can dream of. Anuj comes from a joint family of Kanpur (Industrial city in Uttar Pradesh) with decent education he scored a job in an IT Giant and had to move to Pune for his career growth. They shared their homeland contact numbers and departed for respective places in New Jersey, Myra is an interior decorator and gone to US for a business meeting, whereas Anuj had an offshore project transition.

Back in India, one evening Anuj was scratching his head over an issue when his phone rang, he answers to find a soothing, delicate and confident female voice asking about Mr. Anuj (for a while he forget it’s him) it’s Myra and she’s in PUNE. Within minutes he was out of office building on his bike to meet her near FC College at a famous cafe house. When he saw her in the white chiffon shift dress paired up with many bangles in one hand, flat sandals, open hair and a lovely smile, he was already in love with her. Myra liked Anuj for his simplicity, he is handsome with a natural raw earthy appeal to him but he never tried to use it for favours, in fact he is not even aware of that. Clad in simple chequered shirt and denims, he looked better than many of those ‘salon & gym’ products.

Their connection is kind of cosmic, the instant they met it was ‘attraction of first sight’ they kept on talking, chatting, such impromptu visits became more frequent finally they agreed to talk to their parents. Anuj had to struggle real hard to convince his folks as they do not accept such freedom and boldness from daughter-in-laws, whereas Myra was clear from day one – NO matter what I will not change my identity. This is me, you fell in love with this Myra.. If I change myself, i will loose a part of me.

A struggle of keeping everyone happy and on same page in a family is the worst of it’s kind (I have master’s in this) Anuj somehow managed a YES from him kin and Myra agreed to do little manoeuvring around them and everything is sorted. Really???

Walking on a thin rope of hope is a risky task, managing everyone with a YES is daunting – at times a little courage of NO can save a day. Anuj and Myra are happy in their life, they are their own SUN & LOVERS, they love each other, have understanding and trust on each other but anyone from the ‘expectations area’ can bring a storm in this loving abode. Life is all about little tweaking here and there – perfection is only at God’s house, we humans learn from our mistakes and grow.
